About CHS

CHS is an innovative partnership with a goal of expanding and improving access to health care services for those who don’t qualify for other public assistance programs. Through a network of nearly 120 participating physicians, CHS provides access to primary care, referral to specialists, hospital-based care when needed and an array of other services including dental care services through collaborating providers.

CHS provides an important safety net of care to the greater Derry community.  Since 1996, CHS has served thousands of individuals and facilitated access to more than 150,000 direct services including physician visits, specialty care, dental visits and prescription medications.

A non-profit organization, CHS is funded entirely through grants and private donations. We gratefully acknowledge the support of The Alexander Eastman Foundation, Heritage United Way, Parkland Medical Center and area municipalities.
