CHS currently manages the General Assistance programs for the Towns of Derry, Hampstead, Londonderry and Plaistow.

Residents in need of emergency aid which includes but is not limited to rent, fuel or electric assistance should call 603-425-2545 and speak with a member of the case management team prior to picking up an application.

Your call to ask questions and describe your circumstance to a staff member will save you time. It is also possible that there are resources that can be recommended during that call that will be valuable to you.

CHS evaluates every application based on established municipal guidelines in each town.
Incomplete applications cannot be granted.
